If statistics and reports are your thing then this is your game. I've been playing DMB since the late 80s and it's a great game with excellent forum support where you can ask fellow users questions. I have tried the game a couple times and have always given up on it. OOTP is more of a managing a franchise over a number of years as a general manager. If you want to replay games then stay away from OOTP. 02 but worth only your time to read this post! (Personally I don't buy a new version annually and when I do buy, I wait for 2 "patches" to be issued first.).

APC has many (sometimes too many?) options for play and better graphics if you like that! Probably just a couple % more accurate than DMB. I was a 1000+ replay game DMB'er who went to APC because of that last sentence.ĪPC will have a learning curve that is far greater than DMB but, not like OOTP. The not updated "classic seasons" run way hot offensively and aren't good at duplicating results as APC either. Once premier, not so anymore, kinda like a 10 year old Tesla. Great PBP text! But, any updates that do/have happen are not much more than cosmetic at this point and the engine is quite old too. However, did you know in DMB a runner will never tag up first to 2b? (one example) it's not programmed to happen! Graphics are stadium background and that's it. It IS rock solid though as far as an engine and replay program. THAT's it's purpose/objective, it will not touch APC or DMB (or SOM, Replay, et all for that matter) for replay accuracy or experience.
